April Fools’ Pranks From Around the Internet

Girls laughing at computer

I’m sure if when the internet was first invented, April Fools’ Day was a driving force, but it has certainly evolved into an online holiday. April Fools’ is a day where you trust nothing you read on the internet as nearly every website puts out an over the top product or feature that is sure to have you ROFL.

This year was no exception with all of our favorite websites showing us their lighter side.

Here are some of our favorite April Fools’ Pranks so far.

Google Map’s Pokémon Challenge

Google announced a new position in the company, while many would do near anything to score a job with Google, would you hunt down Pokemon?

Samsung’s Fly-Fy

Ever wish pigeons were equipped with teeny-tiny wireless routers to improve your signal?  Well apparently someone at Samsung thought about it.

The Latest Selfie Trends

Posted by Nadine Segal • March 26, 2014 at 02:59 PM

Girl taking a selfie

Selfies are everywhere these days. At the Oscars, Ellen’s famous selfie broke the Twitter recorded for most retweeted pic when she posted a star studded selfie with the help of Bradley Cooper’s extra long arm.

There are a few trends in the world of selfies that have grabbed my attention. These trends fall into three categories, the good, the bad and the absolutely terrifying.

To start with the good, the makeup free selfie for a great cause.

The #nomakeupselfie trend is everywhere lately and it has increased awareness and raised over £8 Million for Cancer Research UK, and it did all that while encouraging women to love themselves as is. The organization didn’t initiate the trend but they are definitely grateful.

Next, the bad, the sellotape selfie.

Another trend lately has been the #sellotapeselfie. This trend involves wrapping your face in sellotape and taking a pic. It sounds painful and pointless but there are a lot of folks jumping on the bandwagon.

Last but not least, the absolutely terrifying, taking selfies from extreme heights.

This trend looks terrifying. I don’t know what safety measures are taken in these pictures and obviously it is not advised to try and replicate these shots. The picture below is from Kirill Oreshkin, a Russian daredevil.

Breaking up is hard to do. We all know that, but some people just can’t seem to move on from a former flame. Some find it so difficult that they need to check themselves into a rehab facility to try to move on and even that doesn’t work. Some relationships are just hard to quit.

Celebrities aren’t the only ones who have trouble letting go, here are some songs to remind you that if you are in an “on again off again” relationship, you aren’t alone.

If you like one of the songs below just click on the title and it it will open in Torch Music. Save it on a playlist and listen to it again and again.

Rihanna and Eminem Are Together Again

Everyone’s favorite bad girl has once again joined forces with one of the biggest names in rap. That’s right, Eminem and Rihanna are at it again, the duo will be touring together. The Monster Tour will be short so if you live in one of the three cities they are heading to consider yourself lucky.

The tour will take place in August stopping at New York, Los Angeles and of course Eminem’s hometown of Detroit.

The artists first collaborated on the song “Love the Way You Lie” in 2010. The song topped the charts but many were concerned by the violent nature of the song and the depictions of violence video.

While many people were surprised when they first collaborated, the huge success of the song was reason enough for Riri and Em to work together again.

They released “Love the Way You Lie (Part II)” and then on “Numb”. Their most recent collaboration “Monster” has been a chart topper.

If you aren’t lucky enough to catch these two in concert you can still listen to Rihanna and Eminem on Torch Music.
